Job Description
In this role, you’ll play a significant role in growing our façade engineering service line, helping to build a proposition that supports and augments our structural practice. You will be pivotal in winning and delivering projects, starting with strong involvement in bids and fee proposals, task and delivery planning, leading project teams, and ensuring our clients get high-quality, buildable solutions. You’ll also take a lead in furthering client relationships, building on the projects you deliver to position Holmes for future work, and establishing new relationships. You’ll be a key technical resource in growing our team, working alongside a settled and established structural team with incredible access to projects and clients.
In this role, you will also provide essential technical support and development, participating in design charettes and concept reviews, and supporting our team’s skills development throughout project delivery. Establishing and improving existing processes, templates, toolkits, and technology will be crucial in efficiently delivering our work. Collaborating with our market-leading Technical Development team to develop technical capability, and de-risking projects from a façade perspective by delivering to a high quality, will be a particular focus.
What we’re looking for:
To be successful in this role, you’ll have strong technical expertise in façade engineering and currently in a senior or lead façade engineering role. You’ll ideally have excellent relationship management skills to build and maintain strong internal and external client relationships. A solid understanding of project fees and scope, contracts, and risk management is required. You’ll also have the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of results to the high Holmes standard.
