Job description
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Facilities Maintenance Technician to manage the upkeep and operational efficiency of their facilities in Delhi, Delhi, IN. This hands-on role requires a proactive approach to ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment for all occupants. You will be responsible for a wide range of maintenance tasks, preventive care, and minor repair work.
Key Responsibilities: Perform routine inspections and maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment. Conduct preventive maintenance tasks according to schedule to minimize equipment downtime. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues efficiently. Perform minor repairs to building structures, fixtures, and fittings. Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company policies and regulations. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory. Operate and maintain various maintenance tools and equipment. Supervise and guide junior maintenance staff and contractors as needed. Assist in the planning and execution of minor renovation or refurbishment projects. Monitor and manage cleaning and sanitation services to ensure high standards. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions promptly. Manage the stock of maintenance supplies and spare parts, reordering as necessary. Assist in developing and improving maintenance procedures and protocols. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Facilities Maintenance Technician or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical). Proficiency in using hand and power tools and diagnostic equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Good communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are preferred. Technical certification in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing is a significant advantage. Experience in supervising junior staff or contractors. Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean working environment. Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in various conditions. This is a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our client's facilities.
