About the Role
Mænaam is looking for a seasoned Senior Fashion Designer to join its growing creative team in Jaipur. This is a leadership position for someone with a deep understanding of luxury fashion, garment construction, and quality craftsmanship.
Working directly under the Creative Director, who defines the brand vision and direction, you will be responsible for translating concepts and moodboards into finished garments of exceptional quality. This role requires a detail-oriented designer with refined taste, technical expertise, and the ability to lead sampling from start to finish while upholding the brand’s aesthetic and standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Interpret the Creative Director’s vision, moodboards, and brand direction into tangible designs that reflect Mænaam’s luxury positioning
• Lead the end-to-end garment development process, from concept to final sample
• Translate designs into detailed khakas and tech packs, providing clear guidance to pattern masters and sampling teams
• Collaborate with tailors, embroidery artisans, and pattern makers to ensure excellence in construction and finish
• Conduct market and trend research to inform new silhouettes and detailing
• Select and source premium fabrics, trims, and embroidery techniques aligned with luxury standards
• Oversee fittings, corrections, and refinements to ensure the perfect fit, flow, and finish of every piece
• Maintain design consistency, ensuring each garment reflects the brand’s identity, quality benchmarks, and timeless appeal
• Guide and mentor junior designers, supporting their development while driving collaborative creativity
• Manage timelines, sampling calendars, and ensure execution within set budgets
• Own the final sample output and continuously push for quality, originality, and refinement
Requirements
• 12+ years at reputed luxury fashion labels or design houses
• Proven excellence in Western wear, including gowns, draped silhouettes, and modern tailoring
• Strong knowledge of Indian textiles, surface techniques, and fine embroidery
• Skilled in identifying and sourcing luxury-grade materials for construction and finish
• Proficiency in design software like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD tools
• Exceptional technical craftsmanship, pattern understanding, and attention to detail
• Effective leadership and team management skills; calm under pressure and deadline-driven
• Based in Jaipur or open to relocation
