WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
The Senior Fashion Designer at MESHKI plays a critical role in driving the creative vision of the brand. This position requires a highly skilled and visionary individual who can lead the design process from concept to final product, ensuring our collections align with MESHKI's aesthetic and market trends. The Senior Fashion Designer will mentor junior designers and collaborate across departments to create innovative and commercially successful designs.
Develop and create designs for seasonal collections, from initial concept to final product.
Conduct thorough research on market trends, consumer preferences, and emerging fashion trends to inform design direction.
Create mood boards, colour palettes, and sketches to develop innovative and cohesive collection concepts.
Work closely with the production and garment tech teams to ensure that design samples meet the brand’s quality and aesthetic standards.
Collaborate with merchandising, production, and marketing teams to ensure designs align with business goals and market needs.
Provide detailed technical specifications and work with garment technicians to ensure designs are accurately translated into final products.
Select appropriate fabrics and materials, considering cost, quality, and suitability for the design.
Conduct fittings and make necessary adjustments to ensure the perfect fit and finish of each garment.
Ensure all designs meet the highest standards of quality and are produced within budget and on schedule.
Promote sustainable design practices and materials where possible.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in fashion design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design capabilities (please include this in your application).
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), CAD software and other design tools.
In-depth knowledge of fashion design, garment construction, and fabric properties.
Strong creative vision with the ability to translate trends into commercially successful designs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Meticulous attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and fit.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
