Material and Colour Selection:Choose appropriate fabrics, materials, and colour palettes for each design.Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to source quality materials. Pattern Development:Create accurate patterns for garments, ensuring proper fit and functionality.Collaborate with patternmakers to translate design concepts into workable patterns. Technical Design:Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed design specifications.Provide technical input to ensure designs are feasible for production. Prototype Oversight:Oversee the development of prototypes and samples, making necessary adjustments for design accuracy.Collaborate with sample makers to ensure high-quality prototypes. Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with cross-functional teams, including patternmakers, sample makers, and marketing.Effectively communicate design concepts and collaborate with other departments to meet project goals. Adaptability:Adjust designs based on feedback, changing trends, and production constraints.Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Quality Assurance:Conduct quality control checks on final products to ensure they meet design specifications.Address any issues or discrepancies during the production process.
