This Position reports to:
Service Manager
Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact. Join us as Senior Field Service Technician and you’ll contribute to ABB’s Motion Business Area in our Auckland Service Centre based in Mt Wellington, Auckland. In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB quality and safety guidelines. You’ll deliver quality customer service planning and execute service work as per customer order and expectation. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring customer retention by effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations.
Work model: onsite and will involve regular travel to customer sites in a variety of locations across New Zealand.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Performing field service tasks, commissioning, upgrades, maintenance and product support
Troubleshooting equipment/process failures, proactive corrective actions and recommendations.
Preparing actions needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.
Working with the customer to improve the customer’s operations and reliability, reporting and recommendations
Qualifications for the Role
You are highly skilled in research and able to articulate technical documents and electrical schematics.
You have 5 years of experience in relevant field working with power electronics, power converters, automation and industrial controls.
Previous experience with ABB motion products e.g Drives, Motors, Controls
Possess an enhanced knowledge in industrial and marine electrical systems and maintenance.
NZ Electrical Practicing License or International equivalent. Tertiary qualificaiton in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
You are at ease communicating in English
