About Virgin Australia Regional Airlines (VARA)
VARA operates out of Perth Airport and has a fleet of F100 and A320 aircraft that predominantly conduct charter operations throughout regional Western Australia. VARA is on a growth path and has a strong focus on supporting our major clients in the mining industry - the future is exciting!
What you’ll be doing:
The VARA Senior Finance Business Partner will provide effective planning, analysis and advice on all financial aspects within the portfolio. This role is the key business partner for all financial aspects and liaises between Group finance and the business. With a commercial focus this role will ensure the initiatives and processes are in place to deliver the business unit requirements & targets and delivery of key strategic initiatives. You will be the person on the ground in our Perth HQ with the support of Finance Partner specialists within the Brisbane based team to support your role.
You’ll be great in this role if you have:
A minimum 5 years experience in a managerial role
Extensive experience in business partnering and finance support and reporting
Experience in development of KPIs
A proven track record in improving processes and delivering against deadlines
Experience in dealing with external stakeholders
The ability to think strategically and implement initiatives in a way that delivers business outcomes
The ability to anticipate and interpret market changes
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
High level knowledge and understanding of commercial drivers
CA / CPA or equivalent qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in Sciences/Business/Economics/Commercial
A ‘Big 4’ (or equivalent) background (desirable)
Aviation experience (desirable)
TM1 or other major planning system experience (desirable)
Worked with Oracle previously (desirable)
