Cadence Connect has been engaged to recruit a Senior Accountant for a global, private equity-backed organisation experiencing rapid growth. This is a high-performing environment where you'll gain exposure to complex, multi-entity operations and be positioned for accelerated career progression.
You'll report into an experienced Group Financial Controller with a background in listed environments, within a finance function built for scale. The team operates at pace, values ownership, and is focused on developing high-potential talent into future leaders.
Based in Eight Mile Plains, this role offers flexibility, strong leadership, and the opportunity to work across international operations as the business continues to expand.
The Opportunity
This role sits at the core of the global finance function, with ownership across financial reporting and close processes for multiple entities. You'll be working in a complex, multi-currency environment with exposure to cross-border transactions, group structures, and evolving processes as the business scales.
You'll collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across finance, tax, and commercial teams, gaining broad exposure and building the skillset required for future leadership roles.
What You’ll Do
Own the trial balance and end-of-month close for a portfolio of entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Support financial reporting across multiple jurisdictions, maintaining integrity across group accounts
Review, allocate, and validate financial transactions to support accurate reporting outcomes
Prepare and analyse weekly global cashflow forecasts, supporting liquidity planning
Manage payroll-related journals and intercompany recharges across entities
Partner with internal teams to support revenue recognition and balance sheet reconciliations
Act as a key contact for external auditors, assisting with queries and audit requirements
Work alongside the tax function on indirect tax obligations, reconciliations, and submissions
Oversee interest calculations, funding movements, and related financial activities
Identify and implement improvements across processes, controls, and reporting efficiencies
Collaborate with FP&A and operational teams to provide insights that support business decisions
Who You Are
You’re a CA/CPA qualified accountant with a background in audit (Big 4 or mid-tier) and have transitioned into commerce. You bring strong technical foundations, attention to detail, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
You’re proactive, commercially minded, and looking for a role that will stretch you and fast-track your progression toward Financial Controller level.
