Experian Affordability is a fast-growing business with a range of innovative products that utilise Open Banking data, Machine Learning, and cloud platforms.
Combining Open Banking technology with advanced class-leading Data Science, we build products that allow people to share their current account transactional data and blend it with credit information insights to receive a clear picture of their financial circumstances and commitments.
Our mission is to create a safer financial world by providing a detailed breakdown of a customer’s income, expenditure and disposable income that is used by product providers, such as: lenders, mortgage brokers to assess the customers affordability when offering a financial product or service.
Our products are used across the full customer lifecycle and blend bank statement data, credit bureau data and payroll data, for solving the key jobs to be done when providers acquire, manage and help customers through difficult times, by having a detailed view of the customers financial life.
Required Technical Skills/Knowledge
Experian is seeking an experienced Front-End Engineer to join our Affordability team. Using Open Banking technology, we are building products that allows people to share their current account transactional data and blend them with credit information insights to receive a clear picture of their financial circumstances and commitments.
This position is full-time and is based in our Hyderabad office.

What you will do
Collaborate with software engineers, product owners, and analysts to plan, design and shape compelling user-facing products
Be a valued member of an autonomous, multi-functional agile team
help write clear, maintainable code that will scale across a number of projects and distributed development teams
Architect efficient and reusable front-end systems that drive complex web applications
Qualifications
Required Skills:
Angular 2 or above
HTML
Sass/CSS
Javascript
JQuery
RxJS,
Git
Playwright / Any other E2E frameworks/Jasmine(Preferred as we move towards TDD)
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 5-+ yrs of experience as a front-end software developer
Excellent knowledge on frontend technologies like Angular 2, Typescript, JavaScript and jQuery including concepts like asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES6.
HTML and Sass/CSS experience, including concepts like specificity, cross browser compatibility, and accessibility. Experience with SCSS is a bonus
Experience working with complex Single Page Applications
Experience in optimizing front end performance
Proficiency in developing cross-browser compatible applications
Proficient in writing unit tests using Jasmine
Experience in writing automation tests using Playwright or any other similar framework
Good to Have
Experience with node development workflows (npm, gulp, etc.)
Previous Mobile (web and/or native) development experience a plus
Knowledge on MS SQL
Experience in working with an agile delivery team
Experience working with Azure
