IoT Team
In the last years, the IoT team has made great progress with solutions that make a real impact for our customers using state-of-the-art technology and architecture. The goal for the IoT team in Enschede is to convert requirements into an (strategy) architecture coordinating this with the local R&D departments and taking the lead in the IoT development. The IoT team in Enschede is supported by external & global Pentair teams for implementation. Of course, every team member has his own expertise and responsibility to bring the desired solution to a success. Ambitious, open, talented, and driven to achieve success are key words that describe this team. Because of the strong business growth and changed responsibility, we are looking to expand.
Your responsibility @ Pentair:
As a Senior Front-end developer IoT F&B, you are a member of the Agile IoT Team and responsible for the Web App development of the smart products & IoT solutions for the F&B business. Your focus will be on the front-end of the solution and you take the lead in which you implement but also manage a couple of (remote) front-end colleagues. You must be able to switch quickly whereby, in addition to the solutions, you also work on minimum viable products, rapid prototypes and proof-of-concepts.
You will also:
• Develop functional web applications based on usability.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.
• Integration back-end application/services developed on cloud.
• Capable of independently clarifying technical requirements, assessing development estimates, and applying a broad range of design approaches.
• Review code of other team members and provide constructive direction.
• Mentor and lead developers by cultivating curiosity and technical understanding.
• Support product risk assessment, develop guide for IOT design requirement, support developing test plan for integration
• Continuous learning of technology trends, tools, and approaches, including sharing this knowledge with your team.
Your Skills and Experiences are:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 3+ years experience with Amazon Web Service Infrastructure and Platform as a Service tools.
• 5+ years experience with the programming languages like – JavaScript / TypeScript / React / Ajax.
• Able to mentor teammates on team software, team culture, and customer obsession
• Experience in User Experience (UX) and working with Adobe XD is a pre.
• Experience in collaborating with global technology teams is a plus
• Deep technical knowledge in Agile software development (Jira platform)
• Experience in working with IoT vendors / third party service providers is a plus.
• Excellent command of written and spoken Dutch and English.
• Willingness to travel internationally and locally several times a year to other Pentair locations, congresses/exhibitions, and customers
