Corporate Lending Technology
Description of role and key responsibilities
Overall Objective:
Investec is looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to join our newly formed High Net worth and Corporate Lending technology team within Transaction, Lending and Cash.
You will have the opportunity to work with a small, highly talented team to develop greenfield Corporate Lending platform. The developer is expected to hit the ground running and deliver key functionality.
As a full stack developer, your responsibilities include:
1. Co-designing, building, and testing and implementing software solutions.
2. Takes part in reviewing own work and reviews of colleague's work (unit testing, code review).
3. Integrate with various internal and third-party lending systems including CRM, Risk Rating system, Credit Onboarding system, LoanIQ and other internal Client and Data platforms.
4. Implement testing automation for the services being built including Unit testing, integrating and regression testing.
5. Maintaining and upgrading the software following deployment. Building and maintaining deployment pipelines in ADO.
Core skills and knowledge
Technical:
Experience of web development, with Angular design and development with JavaScript.
Experience with AZURE, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), .Net, .Net Core, Angular, C#, JavaScript, jQuery, LINQ, SQL and/or Cosmos DB.
Experience of working with data in different formats and different data specifications, i.e. XML, JSON, CSV.
Azure DevOps and code repos.
Strong understanding of database design principles. Relational model DBs and 3rd normal form.
Experience with data-handling within Azure.
Working with end users and analysts
Participating in QA activities: Integration-, Regression-, Performance-testing
Post-release support
Following and contributing to departmental development process in terms of standards, methodologies, testing, version control and documentation, mentor junior members, drive and implement industry best practices,
Your experience
Experience working as a fullstack .Net developer
Exposure to JavaScript libraries and frameworks
Good understanding of database design and management
Solid understanding of code versioning
Your qualifications
Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or an IT related filed.
Any other attributes that would be helpful, but not essential for the role.
