Role
You will be based in Melbourne and will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the trading applications which are tailored for their traders. You will bring on-board experience in a financial market setting, ideally working in a front-office environment, to grow the engineering function within the business. There are some first year grads within the company, so you will mentor/guide them around best engineering practices, champion their engineering, and also provide guidance. Outside your hands-on duties, you will help grow the engineering environment within the business, providing suggestions around automation, testing, release/deployment, and SRE/DevOps principles. Requirements
You will bring on-board technical experience in Python and Javascript.
You need to have experience in a financial markets setting, working in a prop-trading firm or investment bank.
Experience around system optimisation.
Understanding around testing, automation, and some knowledge of DevOps or SRE principles.
Great communication skills.
