Responsibilities
Working with cross-functional technical teams to understand product requirements and translate them into software designs
Implementing software development processes, coding best practices and unit tests to ensure we create robust and stable products
Completing bug fixes and resolving technical issues to ensure quality and performance
Leveling up our engineering practices by mentoring engineers, sharing knowledge and learning across our organisation
Implementing Agile processes, tools, and techniques to build efficiency, deliver value and shape best-practice in collaboration with key stakeholders
Designing and working with complex data models to improve our capabilities and performance
Requirements
Demonstrate solid software engineering experience and knowledge of test-driven development, Agile methodologies and industry best-practices
Have great relationship building skills and the ability to partner effectively with internal and external technology teams
Have proficiency with data manipulation language including optimization techniques and a good understanding of normalized/dimensional data modeling principles
Demonstrate knowledge of multiple data storage subsystems including cloud technologies
Show expertise in development languages such as React.JS, PHP, and SQL.
Experience with AWS is helpful, but not required.
Have great communication skills and able to collaborate with teams to solve problems and implement effective solutions
Have the ability to write and review detailed specifications for the development of complex system components
