About the Job

This role will be a part of Wisr’s newly formed Innovation Squad - a cross-functional team exploring, validating, and scaling new product concepts. As a Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack), you’ll act as a builder and problem-solver, prototyping with emerging technologies, shaping MVPs, and transitioning successful ideas into production-ready solutions.

You’ll collaborate closely with designers, and product leads to identify new products, services or features — and then bring them to life. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of diverse problems and innovations across the business.

Your day to day might look like:

Rapidly prototype and test with emerging technologies to explore new product concepts, and technical feasibility.
Translate early concepts into working, scalable MVPs with clean, maintainable code.
Partnering with Designers and Product to co-create user experiences that are intuitive, responsive, and delightful.
Move seamlessly between front-end and back-end technologies, bringing full-stack solutions to life.
Use design systems and APIs effectively, striking the right balance between implementation fidelity and speed.
Build in a way that anticipates scale—from one-off experiments to production-quality services.
Contribute to architectural decisions, especially in early-phase solutions, and evolve them as concepts mature.
Stay hands-on with new frameworks, tools and emerging tech—bringing ideas forward that push the boundaries of what's possible.
Mentor others in creative engineering approaches and continually uplift engineering standards within the squad.
Responsible for providing accurate and confident effort estimation for implementation of MVPs.
Support live releases, bug fixes and iteration of products once launched, ensuring smooth handover to core teams.

About you

You love to experiment with new, creative ideas and have a broad range of experience enabling you to singlehandedly bring an idea from concept prototype, but you know that the real magic happens when bouncing ideas off your peers to come up with design solutions.

With strong experience working in a fullstack role with React and C#/.NET, you know your way around all phases of the software development life cycle and have a passion for writing clean and maintainable code. You understand the value that automated testing brings to a code base and are comfortable working in an environment with CI/CD.

Aside from being technically strong, you know that having business acumen and knowledge of your product is just as important as your coding ability. You thrive while working within a fast moving, ambiguous environment and enjoy pushing the creative boundaries of new product creation.

You will have practical skills in scaling and delivering emerging technology and AI to define new forms of customer experience and automation.

You are highly experienced and familiar working with:
.Net Core 8
Javascript libraries such as React
SQL and Entity Framework
Integration and unit testing

Ideally, you also have experience working with Azure Devops or other CI/CD platforms, Microsoft Azure or similar within an Agile environment. Bonus points if you have experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code).

You love to solve problems first and write interesting code second.
