Job Description
This is a senior leadership role that requires a highly skilled and experienced nurse to lead the development and implementation of gerontological care practices within our organisation. The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing leadership, advanced nursing knowledge, and experience working with older adults.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategies to improve the health outcomes of older adults.
Lead the development of policies and procedures related to gerontological care.
Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues on gerontological care practices.
Contribute to the development of educational programs for nurses and other healthcare professionals.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address issues related to gerontological care.
Requirements
Be registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand.
Hold a current Nursing Council of New Zealand practising certificate.
At least five years working with older adults in a primary, community or secondary setting.
Experience with Older Persons Health and Rehabilitation.
Holds or is actively working towards a relevant Post-graduate Nursing Diploma.
