Our Fiscal Reporting team is currently looking for a Senior Government Reporting Accountant and a Government Reporting Accountant to join the team full time on a permanent basis.
As a Government Reporting Accountant at the Treasury you'll be part of a dynamic, highly skilled team that is responsible for providing financial accounting direction to the public sector.
As a Senior Government Reporting Accountant you will be leading key products and pieces of advice.

In these roles you will be closely involved in preparing the financial statements and forecasts of the Government as well as providing accounting advice on a range of issues.
You will also have the opportunity to: Be part of the production of the Government's monthly financial statements and fiscal forecastsLearn and apply public sector financial management frameworksProvide support and advise to Government reporting entities and teams within the Treasury on accounting, appropriation and consolidation issuesCommunicate financial results in an effective manner to a range of stakeholders (e.g.
Ministers)Contribute towards the effectiveness of the team via collaborationManage key internal and external stakeholder relationshipsThis important work takes a special kind of person with a passion for making a difference and getting things done.

The specific experience, skills, and qualities that will help you succeed in this role include:
A Chartered Accountant qualification with at least two years for Government Reporting Accountant (post qualification) of financial accounting or auditing experienceA Chartered Accountant qualification with at least five years for Senior Government Reporting Accountant (post qualification) of financial accounting or auditing experienceExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to represent the TreasuryA focus on continuous improvement and personal accountabilitySelf-starter with initiative who can think independently and drive outcomesExceptional relationship management skills and credibility to engage with and influence at all levelsExperience at consolidation accounting; Public sector experience would be helpful but is not essentialKo nga hua What we Offer This is an important job and that's why we'll do all we can to support your success.
