Key Responsibilities for the Senior Grid Connection Engineer:
As a Developer & EPC, the Senior Grid Connection Engineer will work with the team on the grid connection process in all project phases - i.e. R-1 to post R2.
Provide technical support for various renewable energy sites.
Act as the grid connection representative, evaluating studies from consultants, providing feedback, and making decisive calls
Collaborate with internal teams and work with the Head of Grid on the connection workstream.
Stay up to date with industry developments including proposed regulatory changes.
Requirements for the Senior Grid Connection Engineer:
3 + years of experience as a Grid Connection Engineer or similar role in the energy industry within the NEM and/or WEM in Australia.
Relevant tertiary education in Electrical Engineering or other relevant higher education.
Experience in the connection of projects to the NEM/WEM through the AEMO connection process
Power systems modelling experience using PSS/E and/or PSCAD and/or Power Factory.
Excellent communication & writing skills.
Natural problem solver and analytical thinker.
