Principal Responsibilities
Primary responsibility is to manage existing and new GTRF customers in GB and CMB Corporate segment with sizeable GTRF wallet and sustained business potential
Driving global revenues for large franchise client(s) across geographies and driving growth as global business development manager
Ensuring optimal utilisation of facilities set up for the customers within agreed time frame
Working with CMB / GB RMs to ensure additional GTRF credit facilities for new customers are set up within agreed timeframes.
Ensure the benchmark calling activity schedule in terms of no of client calls to be made.
Achieve the target growth Revenue from existing and new clients both in-country as well as well globally
Effective channelling of customer feedback to Product Development Managers and Area Head- GTRF Business Development
Co-ordinating with the Product Development Managers in preparing responses to Customer Request for Proposals (RFPs) for existing customers
Working with other internal stakeholders as part of deal teams to deliver solutions to the clients
Driving complex trade deals/mandates globally for the key clients of the bank
Conducting promotional activities such as customer presentations and seminars on HSBC’s GTRF products and service capabilities
Liaising with trade bodies to build the profile of the Bank.
Maintain effective communication with customer group RMs and working coordination with them to achieve the client plan.
Maintain and ensure due observance of HSBC Internal Control Standards, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators.
Ensure awareness of compliance requirements and implementation of Group Compliance Policy. Maintain awareness of operational risk including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting in accordance with Group Operations FIM.
Foster a compliance culture and implement Group Compliance Policy by managing compliance risk in liaison with the Head of Group Compliance, Regional Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer, ensuring adequate compliance resources are in place and training is provided, and optimising relations with regulators

Maximize revenue growth through business development
Develop effective strategies for delivering Group strategic priorities by consistently winning new clients in order to generate new income for the Group. Identify new sales opportunities in the form of new to bank or new to trade alongside Team Leaders, Relationship Managers in GB & CMB, BDMs and other product partners (eg. GLCM, GM etc)
Achieve the profitability hurdle rate as defined by Customer Groups
Manage pipeline of new customers and follow end to end sales process (Sales Management process- Client vision usage, pipeline reviews etc)
Work closely with sales colleagues to influence and promote awareness of GTRF products, strategies and competitor information amongst the RM and other strategic business communities.
Maintain awareness of the applicable regulatory and business environment: understand audit, tax and legal implications and changes as they affect the customers and the Bank and provide necessary guidance to team wherever required
Customers / Stakeholders
Develop an appropriate client calling plan to efficiently and effectively achieve goals and objectives. Through consultative selling, design and implement workable, innovative solutions for customers individual needs plus generate and receive quality referrals for/from other parts of the Group
Where appropriate undertake professional presentations etc. to customers in support of potential opportunities portraying HSBC in the best possible light against a backdrop of competition from local, regional and/or global banks.
Influence, maintain and enhance the image of HSBC through the planning and execution of conferences, industry sector days, internal & external client road shows, active participation in industry associations and other such suitable events.
Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets.
