About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Design Engineer (Electronics Hardware) to join our dynamic team at Sika Aerospace. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design and development of Electronic Systems within the Aerospace domain. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the advancement of aerospace technology and innovation.

Technical Skills Required:

· Candidate should be able to independently - Understand Requirements, Design, Development and Testing (Functional & Qualification) - of Electronic Systems such as Airborne LRUs, Naval Electronic Systems etc.

· Manage various tasks in the Design & Development life cycle including Analysis, Simulations, Component selection, Design, Schematic Capture, Co-ordinate PCB Design (Layout and Routing), Assembly Co-ordination, Board Bring-up, building Prototypes, Testing etc.

· Manage Design Reviews (PDR, CDR etc.) and technical communications with customers, certification & inspection agencies.

· Strong in Analog Design viz. signal conditioning of µV signals, acquisition/generation of low-level analog signals etc. with a good understanding of noise and other specifications of Op-Amps, ADCs, DACs and other analog ICs.

· Strong in Digital Design and Embedded Systems using Microcontrollers and Microprocessors.

· Good in implementation of power supplies, power amplifiers and other relevant power circuitry.

· Strong understanding of various applicable standards (EMI/EMC, Environmental, Power Supply, Lightning, ESD etc.)

· Good in architecting Fail-safe & Fault-tolerant solutions with due considerations to DFR, DFT, DFM, Thermal management etc.

· Knowledge on Avionics buses viz. ARINC 429, Mil1553B etc. will be an added advantage

· Architect and manage development of Test Jigs / Test Set-ups

· Knowledge on the preparation of various Design Documentation, Reports, Manuals etc.

· Support for estimation - understand customer’s requirements, prepare BOM, proposal etc.

Project Management Skills:

· Preparation of detailed WBS

· Goal oriented, teamwork, problem solving approach.

· Good communication skills - Verbal and written with customer and Cross functional team.

· Project initiation, monitoring and control Monitoring and time tracking of project tasks during review meetings with different teams to bring output to the projects.

· Project scheduling and tracking the pending tasks and closing issues in time.

· Co-ordinate with CFT during manufacturing and inspection to achieve delivery of products within stipulated quality, cost, and time.

· Review and escalate issues as and when required.

· Identify risks related to quality, cost, and lead time.

· Interact with customer at different stages of project to understand and close technical issues.

Qualifications and Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering or related field

· 4-6 years of relevant experience preferably in the Aerospace & Defence industry.

Additional Requirements:

· Willingness to travel within and outside Bengaluru on need basis for customer meetings, trainings, or other related activities.
