Senior Housekeeper | Live-in or Live-out

Overview
We’ve a new opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Senior Housekeeper to join a high-end estate team, working between a stunning residence near Windsor and a central London townhouse.

Please note, there is flexibility of optional live-in accommodation on the estate near Windsor.
Job duties
Responsibilities of the Senior Housekeeper near Windsor and Central London, includes:
• Ensuring all housekeeping practices and standards are followed consistently across both properties
• Assisting the Head Housekeeper with the management of household inventories, including ensuring adequate supplies of linens, cleaning materials, and other household items
• Responsibility for the care and upkeep of all areas within the home, including dusting, vacuuming, and polishing to the highest standards
• Washing, ironing, and care for bed linens, clothing, and other personal items with attention to detail, particularly with delicate fabrics and high-value items
• Manage wardrobe care, including organising, storing, and maintaining clothing, shoes, and accessories, with particular focus on luxury and designer pieces
• Organising and liaising with local trades and contractors for property maintenance and repairs as required
• Caring for valuable household items, such as antiques, silver, and brass, ensuring they are cleaned and polished to maintain their integrity
• Assisting with shopping for household supplies, groceries, and other errands as directed by the family or Head Housekeeper
• Supporting the chef and Head Housekeeper with service during breakfast, lunch, and dinner, assisting with setting tables, serving meals, and clearing away
• Perform other related duties as required, ensuring the smooth operation of the household
Candidates must be/have:
• A minimum of five years of private housekeeping experience in a private estate/luxury setting
• A high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail, with the ability to follow specific instructions and established practices
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Discretion and professionalism at all times, with the ability to maintain confidentiality in a private household
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise with other household staff, contractors, and external suppliers
• Enthusiastic, well-presented, and dedicated to delivering exceptional standards of service
• A valid UK driving licence – would be a plus
• Flexibility to travel between the Windsor and London properties, especially during busy periods, when required
Accommodation
Live-in accommodation (a one-bedroom flat) can be provided, or alternatively, the Senior Housekeeper may live-out and commute to both properties.
Hours
Low season (Jan - April, September - October): 08:00 – 13:00
Peak season (May - August, November - December): 07:00/08:00 – 20:00/21:00
Averagely 40 hours per week over the year, with reduced hours when the Principal is not present.
Predominantly Monday - Friday but with occasional weekend days worked when the Principal is in residence.

Salary
£50,000 – with two additional performance-based bonuses paid annually.
