Responsibilities:
• Lead the development of design concepts for new and existing products, ensuring they meet user needs and business objectives.
• Create sketches, renderings, and 3D models to communicate design ideas effectively.
• Conduct in-depth research on market trends, user behaviour, and competitive products to inform design decisions.
• Facilitate brainstorming sessions and design reviews to generate innovative solutions.
• Oversee prototyping and testing phases to validate functionality, usability, and aesthetics.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, marketing, and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and product integrity.
• Mentor junior designers, providing guidance and constructive feedback to foster professional growth.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes to drive innovation.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial design, preferably in consumer products or a related industry.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, SolidWorks, Rhino, or equivalent.
• Strong sketching and visualization skills to communicate complex design concepts effectively.
• Deep understanding of design principles, ergonomics, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Proven ability to lead projects from concept to production, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate design vision and rationale.
• A strong portfolio showcasing innovative design projects and process work is required.
