Job Description
As a Senior Architect specialising in interiors, you will play a key role in leading and managing the design and execution of both interior and architectural projects. Your work will involve creating innovative and functional interior spaces while also contributing to the overall architectural design of buildings. You will collaborate with clients, design teams, and project stakeholders to ensure that projects meet aesthetic, functional, and technical requirements. Key Responsibilities:
• Interior Design and Space Planning:
• Lead the development of interior design concepts, space planning, and material selections.
• Collaborate with clients, design teams, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into creative and functional interior designs.
• Develop and present design proposals, including mood boards, sketches renderings, and 3D models, to effectively communicate design concepts.
• Architectural Design and Planning:
• Contribute to the overall architectural design of buildings, considering factors such as site analysis, building codes, and regulations.
• Develop architectural design concepts, floor plans, elevations, and sections that integrate seamlessly with the interior spaces.
• Ensure coordination between interior design elements and architectural features, such as lighting, HVAC, and structural components.
• Client Engagement:
• Act as a primary point of contact for clients, establishing and maintaining strong relationships.
• Conduct meetings and presentations to gather client requirements, provide design updates, and address concerns or queries related to both interiors and architecture.
• Provide expert advice and recommendations on interior design trends, architectural aesthetics, and sustainable design practices.
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensure adherence to relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards in both interior design and architectural aspects of projects.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, verify compliance with design specifications, and address any issues that may arise.
• Review and approve shop drawings, samples, and prototypes to maintain design intent and quality standards.
• Team Development:
• Mentor and guide junior architects and designers, providing feedback and fostering their professional growth in both interior design and architecture.
• Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and advancements in interior design and architecture through continuous learning and professional development.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture witch strong interior design background.
• Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in both interior design and architectural projects.
• Strong proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, 3D modelling tools, and rendering software.
• Excellent knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to both interior design and architecture.
• Proven track record of leading and managing projects involving both interior design and architectural aspects.
• Exceptional design and visualisation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate ideas and concepts.
• Strong project management, organisational, and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders
