Job Title: Senior Interior Designer
Location: Bangalore, India
Experience: 5 years in Residential Design
Position Summary: Senior Interior Designer is responsible for planning, designing, and managing the aesthetics and functionality of interior spaces. They work closely with clients to understand their needs, develop creative concepts, and execute designs that align with the client's vision and project requirements. This role involves collaborating with a team of designers and vendors to ensure successful project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Development:
Create design concepts, mood boards, and space plans that align with the client's needs, budget, and project goals.
Creating exceptional high-end luxury designs for residential projects, responsible for the entire design process, including 3D modelling, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), drawings, and performing coordination with site engineers.
Select furniture, fixtures, finishes, lighting, and accessories to complement the design style and function of spaces.
Develop detailed drawings and presentations using design software like AutoCAD, Sketch Up or 3Ds Max.
Client Interaction:
Meet with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and budget constraints.
Present design proposals, materials, and colour schemes to clients and adjust designs based on feedback.
Communicate regularly with clients to provide project updates and address any concerns or changes.
Project Coordination:
Coordinate with project managers and vendors to ensure designs are executed correctly and on schedule.
Prepare project timelines and track milestones to ensure timely delivery of services.
Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure that work is consistent with design specifications.
Material and Resource Management:
Research and source materials, finishes, furniture, and accessories that meet design requirements.
Ensure all materials and furnishings meet quality standards and are within budget.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure designs comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards.
Maintain thorough documentation of project designs, revisions, and approvals.
Stay Current with Industry Trends:
Stay up to date with the latest design trends, materials, and technologies.
Attend industry events, workshops, and trade shows to enhance knowledge and skills.
Key Qualifications:
Diploma /Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
3-8 years of experience in interior design, preferably in residential projects.
Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Sketch Up, 3Ds max, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design styles and projects.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards.
