Urgent requirement of Senior IT Systems Engineer - Contract - Canberra
RequirementsEssential criteria
1. Experience using Sentinel or a similar SIEM solution is essential
2. In-depth familiarity with the Australian Government Information Security Manual
3. Experience with security technologies such as endpoint protection, firewalls and IDS/IPS
4. Extensive experience in Windows, Linux, networking and system administration
5. Experience with security services in the cloud (Azure or AWS)
Department: Australian Electoral Commission
Estimated start date: Tuesday, 01 April 2026
Initial contract duration: Till 31 December 2026
Extension term details: up to an additional 24 months
Experience level: Senior - EL1 equivalent
Location of work: ACT
Working arrangements: Onsite
Maximum hours: 40 hours per week
Security clearance: Must be able to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1
