About the Job – Senior Infrastructure Engineer
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will play a pivotal role in the deployment, support, and maintenance of Synamedia applications and products within cloud environments and at customer sites. This position requires enthusiasm, a strong technical foundation, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with architects, developers, and DevOps teams to enhance the integration of Artifactory and related services into the software development lifecycle.
Maintain and support Artifactory and other enterprise-grade IT services, ensuring high availability across geographically distributed environments.
Act as a liaison with third-party vendors, including the Artifactory provider, to escalate and resolve advanced technical issues.
Provide technical support to users of IT services, ensuring timely issue resolution, adherence to SLAs, and proactive vulnerability management.
Manage user and team provisioning, access controls, and permissions across supported services, with a strong emphasis on security, reliability, and operational continuity.
Partner with cross-functional IT teams to deliver complex maintenance, upgrades, and support initiatives across multiple services.
Design and implement automation solutions to streamline operational workflows and reduce manual intervention across supported systems.
Drive modernization efforts for deployment, monitoring, and testing processes of infrastructure services.
Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for system configurations, administrative procedures, and user-facing support materials.
Respond to and manage service escalations across supported services, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Stay informed on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continuously improve service delivery and system performance.
Participate in an on-call support rota, providing after-hours support for critical systems and ensuring rapid incident response.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience installing, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining JFrog Artifactory, including user provisioning.
Skilled in integrating Artifactory with build tools and pipelines, such as Maven, Jenkins, Electric Flow and Docker, ensuring seamless artifact management within CI/CD workflows.
Strong experience in Linux system administration, including proficiency with Bash scripting for automation and system management tasks.
Highly responsible, adaptable, and collaborative team player with strong initiative and clear communication skills.
Experience using an ITSM platform, with a proven track record on timely customer responses and ticket updates.
Proven troubleshooting skills and experience.
Note: While the role is primarily focused on technical aspects, there may be occasional instances where the engineer needs to work outside of regular business hours to address critical issues or meet project deadlines.
