• Responsible to develop and maintain cloud applications and microservices
• Design microservice based architecture aiming for reusability and scalability across Olam digital projects
• Able to work and deliver in an agile framework
• Able to define automated test strategy to ensure the quality of the delivered cloud application/microservice
• Experience with CI/CD and devOps to support continuous delivery of the application
• Work closely with a cross-disciplinary team, including technology, business team, marketing and country teams to understand the business requirements and design the necessary solution
• Continually drive towards a meaningful balance between user needs, business objectives and technical feasibility
• Own the execution of cloud solutions and ensure that the solution works per the agreed architecture, SLAs, KPIs and business model
• Identifying and defining business and operational KPIs that would help Olam to achieve mobility goals and objectives
• Write efficient, clear code and able to articulate what has been implemented and why and along with accompanying test suites.
• Status reporting both to business and technology management.
Profile Description
• Graduate or Post-graduate in Computer Science or in any relevant discipline with a minimum of 4+ years of experience working in web application and microservice development
• Experience in developing applications and microservice on Microsoft Azure will be an added advantage
• Strong knowledge and exposure working across various services and components in Azure
• Strong knowledge on developing microservices using Java Springboot, Angular JS, Javascript & etc
• Should be good at using the following DevOps tools: Jenkins, GIT, Sonar, Selenium, JIRA etc
• Strong knowledge on SQL database
• Good understanding of Restful API skills
• Robust application testing skills
• Experience in agile teams is an added advantage
• Knowledge and experience with automated test tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams
• Commodities domain knowledge (agri, energy or metals) is plus
