Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a highly capable and dedicated Java Developer with MS SQL experience to lead the development of enterprise-grade applications. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based solutions that integrate effectively with MS SQL databases. As a key contributor, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into reliable, high-performance software. Your involvement will support our organization’s goal of delivering innovative, enterprise-level solutions that drive business success.
Software Requirements
Required Skills:
• Extensive hands-on experience with Java (Java SE 8 or higher), including core libraries and Java best practices
• Proficiency in MS SQL Server, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and optimization techniques
• Experience working with relational databases (DB2, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Azure SQL is a plus)
• Experience with version control tools such as Git or GitHub
• Familiarity with build and automation tools such as Maven, Jenkins, and ANT
• Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC)
• Familiarity with front-end integration (HTML, JavaScript) is advantageous
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for deployment scenarios
• Hands-on experience with data modeling and performance tuning for MS SQL
Overall Responsibilities
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, reliable Java applications aligned with enterprise objectives
• Collaborate with stakeholders across business units and technical teams to gather requirements and define solutions
• Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure deliverables meet quality benchmarks
• Integrate Java applications with MS SQL databases, implementing stored procedures, triggers, and performance enhancements
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly, ensuring platform stability and security
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, testing, and adoption of best practices
• Mentoring junior team members and fostering adherence to architecture standards
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continually enhance application capabilities

• Industry experience in financial services, banking, or enterprise solutions is a plus

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE or related credentials are preferable
• Demonstrable track record of successful Java projects in enterprise environments
