This position will engage, collaborate and partner with Product Management, Software Development, DevOps, and technology partners to drive the strategy and approach for our Holdmail solution. You will be responsible for the design and implementation of highly scalable and mission critical solutions for the Information Capturing Crew which is part of Client Documents and Records Management.

We're looking for a Lead Java Backend Developer to:
• participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle – requirements, architecture, design, development, testing, deployment
• contribute to technology solutions that will solve business problems and strengthen our position as digital leaders in financial services
• be responsible for design and development related tasks
• act as the Tech Lead for your Agile Pod
• support pod as an individual contributor
• work with Business Analysts and Testers during implementation, verification and solving production support issues
• engage with multiple stakeholders at all levels across UBS, including international locations
• comply with all applicable UBS standards, principles and policies for S/W development and rollouts
Your team
You will be working in the Information Capturing Crew, which is part of the foundation stream of Client Document and Records Management. You will work within a team of software engineers who work across various PODs of Information Capturing to support the delivery and improvement of products supported by the Agile Crew and respective PODs.
Along with your Agile POD members, you will primarily work on the Holdmail Backend Application.
The crew mission is to become the global differentiator for capturing and processing of (client) information by offering innovative information services for integration & automation.
The members of your Agile Chapter are working out of Switzerland, Qatar, India, Poland and Singapore.

Your expertise
• Held similar software engineering role, ideally around 14 or more years. Nice to have prior experience in finance sector.
• Hands-on experience in developing & deploying cloud native applications using microservice architecture on Microsoft Azure Cloud.
• Strong programming experience in Java11 and above, modern web technologies React & Angular, Application Server/Tomcat in Linux, Windows platforms, Spring boot, Spring MVC frameworks, Hibernate, Junit, Gradle, Maven and Gitlab
• Strong understanding of agile delivery methodologies and solution delivery lifecycle
• Highly committed, self-reliant contributor with a positive attitude, high ambitions and an interest in the future of Finance Technology
• ideally experience of digitalization, knowledge of archiving requirements and automation of client document processing solutions
• Good to have skills: Good knowledge of PostgreSQL, Azure Certifications, REACT
• Experience with the Spring Framework, RESTful APIs, SOAP, Maven, and GitLab
• Knowledge of Software Design Patterns, and Enterprise/ Integration patterns
• Experience with Ansible or bash scripting
• Familiar with testing methodologies
Essential Skills/Experience:
• excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to work as part of a Global team and prioritize work in a high velocity environment
