We are currently seeking a Senior Java Developer with a minimum of 5 years of relevant production experience.
In this position, you will take on a pivotal role in maintaining, building, and scaling the infrastructure for our customer's financial orchestration platform. Our advanced technology stack encompasses Java 17, AWS (various services), Storm, Kafka, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Zookeeper, Hazelcast, and more. The ideal candidate should possess an in-depth understanding of the software development process and a comprehensive grasp of distributed systems and their underlying infrastructure.
This position implies a hybrid work setup. You will need to spend 1-2 days a week in the office in Gurgaon.
Responsibilities
• Lead the development of clear, elegant, and maintainable code using Java 17, with a primary focus on our tech stack, including AWS, Storm, Kafka, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Zookeeper, Hazelcast, Spring, and more.
• Architect, build and maintain highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure software components for our financial orchestration platform
• Drive and oversee the migration process to our AWS cloud platform, ensuring smooth integration and support for downstream consumers of our services
• Advocate for and enforce best engineering practices to maintain code quality and system robustness
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills by effectively solving problems and conveying complex information to stakeholders
• Maintain a hands-on development and infrastructure problem-solving approach, actively troubleshooting and resolving complex issues
Requirements
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant production experience as an Infrastructure Engineer, Software Engineer, or a related role
• Extensive knowledge of the software development process
• Proficiency in Java 8+ is essential
• Comprehensive understanding of distributed systems and the underlying infrastructure
• Strong expertise in AWS, with a particular emphasis on relevant services (must-have skill)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex technical challenges
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, and a collaborative team player
• Proactive and self-driven attitude with a structured approach to development and maintenance tasks
• B2+ level of English proficiency
Nice to have
• Familiarity with the Spring Framework
• Proficiency in Terraform
• Knowledge of containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with performance optimization and tuning
• Understanding of event-driven architectures and messaging systems
