Senior Java Software Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with experience in Java backend development and AWS to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software development principles and practices, with a deep understanding of Java and experience building scalable, reliable and efficient backend systems on the AWS cloud platform. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and reliable Java backend systems on the AWS cloud platform Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and implement features Lead technical discussions, code reviews and provide guidance to the team on best practices and design patterns Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast, reliable, and repeatable deployments Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and proactively identify areas for optimization Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, tools, and technologies in Java, AWS and backend development Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience At least 5 years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Java backend development Hands-on experience in AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, DynamoDB, and API Gateway Strong understanding of software development principles and practices such as SOLID, Design Patterns, and Test Driven Development Experience with building RESTful web services and microservices Proficient in using build tools such as Maven and Gradle Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus Excellent communication and interpersonal skills If you are a self-starter with a passion for software engineering, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity
