We are looking for a remote Senior Java Support Engineer with 3+ years of experience in software development to join our data ingestion team.
In this position, you will be responsible for enhancing the reliability of tools and mechanisms used for processing petabytes of data from various sources. The ideal candidate should have experience in building RESTful APIs, debugging complex code, and leading a team of developers.
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain high-quality fetchers and log parsers for processing heterogeneous data
• Maintain ticket status to maintain Service Level Objective (SLO) and update ticket details along with customer expectations
• Manage team deliverables and guide developers on tech tasks
• Work with customers and stakeholders to understand and resolve issues
• Deal with ambiguity and problem-solving to enhance the reliability of data processing tools and mechanisms
Requirements
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, related technical fields, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in software development
• Experience in leading a small team of developers
• Expertise in Java and ability to debug complex code like algorithms
• Proficiency with SQL and building and using RESTful APIs
• B2+ English level
Nice to have
• Knowledge of Logstash, Golang, and Ruby
