Job Description
Kounsel is looking for an experienced Backend Developer specializing in Java and Kotlin, to join our team, responsible for the developing Backend of our platform, with a focus on microservice structure.
Job Type:
Contract to hire/Remote/Full-Time/Long-term
Responsibilities:
• Develop and Maintain backend services using Java and Kotlin.
• Maintain databases (MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra (AWS Keyspaces)).
• Work with engineering team members to explore and create interesting solutions while sharing knowledge amongst the team.
• Collaboration with other engineers to write testable, reliable code, continuously deploying to production systems.
• Collaboration with product managers, and other engineers to deliver new features, enhancements, platform improvements, and bug fixes.
• Recommend alternative approaches to solving complex problems and use new technology to achieve goals.
Technical Requirements
• 5+ years experience with REST API development in Java, Kotlin, Jersey or Spring.
• Degree in Computer Science.
• Experience with AWS and GCP services.
• Experience with the Docker platform.
• Expertise in software development domain and principles.
General Requirements:
• High-Speed Internet and the ability to join Technical video meetings during business hours.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work as part of multi-functional teams.
• Ability to collaborate and be a team player.
• Availability to work during U.S. Business hours (EST/CST/PST).

India Pay Range: from ₹+ - ₹13 Lakhs per annum.
