The Role
We are seeking a Senior Asphalt Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic regional asphalt project team. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects and contribute to high-quality outcomes in the construction materials sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform and oversee testing of construction materials, including aggregates, asphalt, and bitumen.
Analyse, interpret, and report test results accurately
Apply appropriate testing procedures and operate specialized equipment
Set up, calibrate, and maintain laboratory and field equipment
Develop and implement standard operating procedures for testing equipment
Prepare technical reports and assessments
Ensure safe operation of all equipment
Collaborate with project management teams to coordinate logistics and mobilisation
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
About You:
5 Years technical experience in construction material testing is desirable
Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques, CMT Testing preferred
Valid Western Australian C class driver’s license - HR Class desirable
Strong written, mathematical, and IT skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
Ability to travel and work remotely as required
Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
Capable of working independently and as part of a team
