Job Title: Civil Designer
We are seeking an experienced Civil Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a passion for civil engineering projects and a minimum of three years of experience in land development, residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting project engineers with design and drafting of site servicing plans, site grading plans, erosion and sediment control plans, pre- and post-development drainage plans; calculations for stormwater management, functional servicing, and floodplain cut and fill analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
• Complete design drawings in accordance with local standards and guidelines.
• Prepare preliminary and detailed design drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D or other computer-assisted design/drafting equipment.
• Coordinate project drawings with project engineers and others.
The successful candidate will also have the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and projects in a fast-paced turnaround environment.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil or related qualifications, along with strong knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
Additionally, you should have familiarity with various municipal and regional design and drafting standards and guidelines in Ontario, Canada, as well as experience in preliminary and detailed design drawing preparation associated with land development projects.
A bonus is having skills in HEC-RAS for floodplain analysis and water resource modeling.
