Primary objective
To provide the Northern Territory Government, its Authorities and Instrumentalities with high quality legal service with respect to
civil litigation matters.
Context statement
The Litigation Division provides legal advice and representation in relation to a wide range of civil litigation, criminal, quasi-criminal
and administrative law matters to the Northern Territory Government, its agencies and statutory bodies. This position is in the
Criminal Enforcement and Regulatory team, which is tasked with providing advice and representation in matters which have a
particular criminal, quasi-criminal or regulatory aspect, including: regulatory breaches/prosecutions, professional disciplinary
hearings, liquor licensing matters, mental impairment and unfitness to plead hearings, criminal property forfeiture, serious sex
offender and domestic violence applications and other related work as allocated.
