Job Summary
As an experienced Architect, in the FTAC team in Finance which is aligned to Finance, Risk, Data and Controls team you will work in a dynamic, high-performance team specializing on finance technologies and delivering technology roadmaps and products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a senior leader in the global Architecture team, you'll spearhead the efforts of passionate and dedicated teams at the intersection of technology and business strategy.
The role of VP- Architecture will primarily drive technology roadmaps removing impediments of the development teams, continuously innovating on the latest trends and advancing the applications to the next level of design and target state architectures.
The VP-Architecture candidate will participate in the initiatives of Finance Technology Architecture Council (FTAC) and collaborate hands on with the development teams in ensuring architecture governance and guidance.
The role involves understanding the modernization journey of a number of finance technology applications from legacy onprem deployments to a target state Public Cloud adoption where applications are designed for high performance, high security and best in class user experience.
You'll collaborate with passionate and dedicated teams of architects, aligning cross-functional and cross-line of business projects, ensuring that they're technically advanced and ROI driven. At the same time, you will share the knowledge and build capabilities across geographies for best practice adoptions. You'll collaborate with internal teams and business leaders creating strategically sound Target State Architectures that can handle today's needs and be ready for tomorrow's needs as well. Job responsibilities
Design, Develop and review Architecture blueprints of multiple towers in line with the organization's technology roadmaps
The role expects the ideal candidate to be hands-on at the time of the need; An attitude to design, write, comment and unit test code without hesitations. The ideal candidate should be able to code and script in multiple programming languages like Java, Python, etc
Drive the implementation of repeatable solutions and frameworks on the AWS cloud, that can be leveraged by multiple stakeholders thereby reducing efforts for adoption
Build scalable architectures with excellent designs of Microservices and Containerization to enable the bank's internal cloud and public cloud platform s
Maintain technical acumen by pursuing formal and informal learning opportunities about technology, JPMorgan Chase products, and financial services
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities including delivery flow across product and technology
The ideal candidate will be a leader in FTAC working with a core team and an extended team of technology experts who can review proposals and draw references for building an Enterprise wide standard
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
10+ years on Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, Architecture Patterns, Data Migration and Modeling
Experience in AWS cloud, Snowflakes, Databricks will be an added advantage
Strong experience in developing, debugging and maintaining code in an enterprise environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
Familiarity with modern front-end technologies and overall knowledge of the DevOps tools
Solid understanding of Agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency and Security
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience in financial/banking domain
