Position Description:
CGI is seeking an experienced and results-driven senior leader for Capital Markets in Greater Montreal. This executive-level role is responsible for driving strategic growth, managing key client relationships, and overseeing the delivery of business consulting and technology services for capital market clients.
The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of the capital markets landscape, understands how financial institutions operate, and brings the credibility and experience needed to engage effectively with senior leaders. Prior experience in consulting or business professional services firm is essential.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Growth
Define and execute a growth strategy to expand CGI s footprint in the capital markets sector in the Greater Montreal Area.
Translate market insights and client needs into tailored consulting solutions.
Client Engagement & Business Development
Establish and grow executive relationships with key clients in the financial services sector.
Lead RFP responses, pricing strategies, and the development of compelling proposals.
Drive pipeline growth and oversee pursuit of high-value opportunities.
Team Leadership
Lead and manage a team, including overseeing services and solutions delivered by global centers and business and technology practices.
Attract, develop, and retain top talent to support the evolving needs of clients.
Ensure operational excellence and strong performance metrics across delivery engagements.
Industry & Partner Relationships
Build strong ties with industry stakeholders, regulators, and alliance partners.
Representing CGI in industry forums and thought leadership initiatives.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Recognized leader with 15+ years of progressive experience in capital markets consulting or financial services, with a proven track record in business development and delivery.
Deep understanding of the capital markets ecosystem, including trading, risk, compliance, and financial operations.
Strong business acumen and ability to craft solutions aligned with client needs and business drivers.
Executive-level presence with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Experience leading responses to complex RFPs and managing multi-disciplinary client engagements.
Background in consulting or professional services firm is required.
Bachelor s degree in Finance, Commerce, MIS, or related field; MBA is preferred.
Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role involving interactions with national and global clients.
