This role exists within the Strategy, Engagement and Workforce (SEW) Division which is responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategies
directly relating to the performance and capability of our people and organisation.
Your typical day as a Senior Learning & Development Officer may include:
• Working on a diverse range of L&D resources, projects and programs.
• Providing leadership, coaching, guidance, support and feedback to L&D officers.
• Consulting with business leaders to provide solutions to L&D needs.
• Gathering and interpreting data to make recommendation for program improvements.
• Administration activities including project leadership, administering the LMS and information management.
You will be supported by a positive, constructive team and divisional leaders as you do your work.
The key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
• Leading Learning & Development consultations including training needs analysis, training plans, budget consideration and varied report production for provision of expert advice to internal clients and management.
• Leading research, evaluation, selection, procurement, and review of external L&D solutions.
• Supporting internal stakeholders in developing, coaching, and mentoring their staff.
• Leading collection, analysis, and application of data to evaluate L&D solutions and implement continuous improvement.
To be successful in the position, you will need:
• Substantial experience in a Learning & Development or adult education environment.
• Highly developed communication skills.
• Knowledge of instructional design, facilitation methods, adult, applied and inclusive learning principles in producing L&D solutions through a variety of media and modes of delivery.
• Intermediate skill using the Microsoft Office suite (required), e-learning platforms (required), Adobe suite (desirable), and Microsoft power platform (desirable).
This position is based in our Brisbane office and flexible work options may be requested.
