About the role
As an integral member of our team, you will contribute to the development and delivery of units within psychology at undergraduate and graduate levels, with a focus on the flexible delivery of the Master of Professional Psychology via online classes and in-person intensives. You will also supervise students undertaking psychology placement within FedCare Psychology Services and contribute to the Institutes administrative functions.
This position is based at our Berwick Campus however a remote location may be considered, with on-campus teaching for face-to-face intensives required.
You will:
provide leadership in developing, teaching, coordinating, and moderating units in psychology;
undertake teaching and assessment of undergraduate and postgraduate students;
supervise students undertaking project units, honours courses and research higher degrees; and
undertake research activities.
About you
You will work as part of the institutes team of academic and administrative staff. You will possess proven educational, research and professional experience and seek to embed long and short-term research strategies for the institute within the strategic framework of the University and in accordance with its mission. You will be a creative thinker and avid problem solver, who possesses initiative, innovation, and a can-do attitude.
You will possess:
general registration as a psychologist with an area of Practice Endorsement and Board Approved supervisor status with AHPRA;
demonstrated commitment to and enthusiasm for teaching and learning;
capacity to teach foundation skills for clinical practice;
capacity to support students completing placement; and
ability to conduct and disseminate psychological research.
