The Organisation
Our client is a global financial services platform seeking Senior Legal Counsel to help guide internal legal strategy across a variety of functions, including ESG. This is a broad in-house role ideal for a seasoned lawyer who thrives on navigating business change and managing legal matters with independence and credibility.
The Opportunity
This role supports multiple internal teams and leaders on a wide array of commercial legal matters. It is designed for someone who can operate autonomously while coordinating with peers on legal and procedural consistency. Core areas include:
• Acting as a primary legal contact for selected departments or business initiatives
• Providing practical legal input on service arrangements and operational agreements
• Advising on internal governance and compliance processes
• Contributing to legal tooling, templates, and internal training efforts
• Facilitating internal discussions across departments to resolve legal challenges
• Working with external firms and internal leadership on specialised matters
Candidate Profile
We’re looking for a legal professional who brings:
• England and Wales qualified lawyer with a minimum of 6-12 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE)
• Familiarity with a range of commercial, operational, and governance legal matters
• Experience working in a regulated industry, such as financial services and ESG
