Senior Legal Counsel - Growing Real Estate Developer

Our client is a dynamic and rapidly growing real estate development company committed to shaping the future of urban landscapes. They specialize in transformative projects that redefine communities and set new standards for sustainable and innovative development. Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Real Estate Attorney to oversee and manage our legal affairs related to real estate transactions and leasing matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate law, with a proven track record of handling complex real estate transactions and lease negotiations.

Responsibilities:
• Provide expert legal advice and guidance on all aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and development projects.
• Draft, review, and negotiate various real estate agreements, including purchase and sale agreements, development agreements, lease agreements, and easements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project managers, developers, and finance teams, to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks.
• Conduct thorough due diligence and review of property titles, surveys, and environmental reports.
• Manage and oversee external legal counsel as needed, ensuring their work aligns with company objectives and standards.
• Stay current with relevant real estate laws and regulations, advising on their implications for the company’s operations and strategies.
• Resolve legal disputes related to real estate matters through negotiation, mediation, or litigation as necessary.
• Contribute to the development of company policies and procedures related to real estate transactions and leasing.

Qualifications:
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the bar in any US jurisdiction
• Minimum of three years of experience in a real estate practice group or a similar role within a real estate development company.
• Demonstrated expertise in real estate transactions, leasing matters, and property law.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen attention to detail.
