CBRE is seeking a highly experienced and strategically minded Senior Legal Counsel to provide expert legal guidance and support to our advisory legal function and daily operations across Australia and New Zealand. This pivotal role will partner closely with business leaders to manage risk, foster business growth, and ensure legal integrity and compliance throughout CBRE's operations.

About the Role:
Provide expert legal advice on a broad range of commercial matters and complex projects.
Draft and negotiate diverse commercial agreements for real estate services.
Advise management on legal matters and risk mitigation, aligned with strategic objectives.
Support business growth, including navigating new and evolving regulations.
Collaborate to improve legal processes for enhanced risk management.
Monitor legal developments and proactively manage associated risks.
Partner with cross-functional teams (Litigation and Compliance) to ensure effective legal management
Manage and mentor other lawyers in the team, provide leadership in allocating work, training and development, coaching, as well as measuring, appraising and rewarding performance.

About You:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced legal professional to join our team. You will bring:
A Bachelor of Laws degree with demonstrable experience.
A current New South Wales (or equivalent) Practising Certificate.
At least 8-10 years of post-qualification experience in a full-service law firm or in-house role.
Proven experience in a commercial setting, with strong negotiation skills.
Excellent advisory, communication, and leadership capabilities.
Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, commercially minded approach.
The ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and make sound decisions.
