Job description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Responsible for providing effective support for corporate legal and day-to-day business
queries.
● Proficient in drafting legal documents including, but not limited to legal notices, replies,
complaints, plaint and suits.
● Possess strong knowledge of Intellectual Property Rights Law, especially Trademark and
Copyright, and provide daily solutions to related queries.
● Skilled in drafting Cease and Desist notices & replies, Notices for Copyright infringement &
replies, Copyright Complaints, Statements of Use, etc.
● Experienced and proficient in filing trademark and copyright applications, oppositions,
objections, and Statements of Use. The candidate will be required to attend and represent
the company at IP hearings.
● Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and Spinny policies, create business
efficiencies, and minimize/eliminate risks.
● Capable of handling and resolving issues and assignments given to them.
● Experience in drafting and vetting Software Licensing Agreements, Master Service
Agreements, Banking and Finance Agreements, Insurance Agreements, NDAs, Leases,
Leave and License Agreements, Lease Deeds, Letters of Intent, Share Purchase and Share
Subscription Agreements, Memoranda of Understanding, Undertakings, Indemnity Bonds,
and liaising with all relevant business units.
● Experience with Trademark License Agreements, Franchise Agreements, and Joint
Venture Agreements.
● Collaborate with the business team and functional stakeholders to discern risk tolerance
and lead risk management and compliance activities related to areas impacting the
business, such as complex commercial contracts.
● Provide analysis, structuring, and documentation advice on transactions, managing risks
in contracting within legal and corporate guidelines.
● Offer legal advice, and transactional and business support to Spinny operations to ensure
compliance, efficiency in business, and risk minimization/elimination.
REQUIREMENTS:
● Educational Qualification – L.L.B from a reputed University
● A thorough understanding of the following areas of law – Commercial, Labor, Industrial,
Environment, Consumer, Fundraising, Due Diligence, Risk Management Advertisement, Contracts,
IT, IPR, Privacy, Customs etc.
● Experience of working with legal teams of Startup companies
● Knowledge of sales and marketing related issues and understanding in handling trade
promotions,
● Thorough understanding of the following areas of law: IPR, Company Law, Consumer Law,
Fundraising, Due Diligence, Risk Management, Contracts, IT, and Privacy.
