About the Role:

As a Senior Legal Officer with our client, you will play a key role in providing high-quality legal advice to operational and support teams. Your expertise will be crucial in conducting anti-doping matters and managing litigation in a government regulatory environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide timely and accurate legal advice to internal stakeholders.
Conduct thorough investigations and manage litigation cases related to anti-doping matters.
Advise on administrative law, commercial law, employment law, and integrity issues.
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
Draft and review agreements and contracts to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Develop and implement legal policies to support the organization's objectives.
Mentor and supervise junior staff to promote professional growth and development.
Requirements:

A law degree from an Australian tertiary institution (or equivalent) and admission as a legal practitioner in a Supreme Court of a State or Territory.
Extensive experience in providing legal advice in one or more relevant practice areas.
Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize workloads effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to mentor and supervise junior lawyers.
Knowledge of sports anti-doping and integrity frameworks.
Proven experience of managing litigation in a government regulatory environment.
