The Role
As the Senior Designer at Honey Birdette, you will be the visionary force behind our garment designs. Leading a small team of talented creatives, you'll transform vision concepts into stunning realities, ensuring every launch project embodies our brand’s bold and luxurious spirit. From the spark of an idea to the final flourish, your designs will set the stage for an unforgettable red-carpet customer experience.
In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of fashion, overseeing the entire design process with meticulous attention to detail. Your collaboration with cross-functional teams will ensure our design solutions are not only cohesive and impactful but also perfectly timed to align with our strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee fittings from first proto to final, collaborating with Head of Tech, providing highly focused direction on fit, make and trim details to ensure all garments meet brand expectations and are finished at a premium standard.
Collaborate with Head of Product and Design on collection feedback and evolve design to meet business expectations.
Attend weekly Design meetings, and ensure projects are tracking to the CP
Prepare PowerPoint presentations, and present collections to the leadership team.
Research global market trends with Fashion Resources – WGSN, Pantone, Vogue Runway, Fashionista etc. with international travel to research markets, business stores, launches from time to time
Research design and develop laces, embroideries, branded trims and accessories with our European and Asia Pacific suppliers, providing detailed technical specifications and working closely for successful outcomes.
Create highly accurate technical flats using Illustrator and photoshop, employing gradients/brushes/fills/clip masks.
Develop strong partnerships with garment manufacturers in Asia, engaging successful collaboration and communication strategies to effectively deliver manufacturable, and financially viable products.
Your Sweet Spots (About You)
Exceptional creative design skills, category management, and option planning.
Expert level of proficiency in Adobe Suite, especially Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop
Moderate level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent accredited course in Fashion/Contour Fashion
7-10 years’ experience in a Fashion industry role related to Lingerie or Swim design which includes experience in design, category management, financial skills, technical construction, patternmaking, and fit.
