Job Description
Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management:
• Develop and implement strategies to maintain optimal stock levels, minimizing both stockouts and excess inventory.
• Coordinate with production, procurement, and suppliers to ensure accurate inventory records.
• Monitor inventory turnover and aging, identifying and addressing slow-moving or obsolete stock to mitigate risks.
2. Order Processing and Fulfillment:
• Oversee the entire order fulfillment process, from receiving customer orders to shipment and delivery.
• Ensure orders are processed accurately and promptly, meeting customer requirements and service level agreements.
• Collaborate with internal teams (sales, customer service, marketing) to resolve order-related inquiries or issues.
• Monitor order status and proactively communicate any delays or changes to relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate with the accounts team on COD orders.
3. Logistics Coordination:
• Manage transportation and distribution networks to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor shipping schedules and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
• Evaluate and negotiate contracts with logistics service providers to secure competitive pricing and service levels.
4. Returns & Customer Service:
• Oversee third-party logistics to handle returns, including receiving, sorting, refurbishing, or clearing returned items.
• Update reporting and inventory systems to reflect returns accurately.
5. Supply Chain Optimization:
• Continuously review and enhance logistics processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Identify opportunities for process automation and implement suitable systems or tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (procurement, production, quality assurance) to streamline supply chain operations.
6. Compliance and Documentation:
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to logistics and transportation (e.g., customs regulations, hazardous materials handling).
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of shipments, invoices, and other logistics-related information.
• Conduct regular audits to verify compliance and address any non-conformities.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in inventory management, order processing, logistics coordination, and supply chain optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and tools.
