Our client, a prominent player in the e-commerce and retail sector, is seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Logistics and Supply Chain Manager to join their growing operations in **Bengaluru, Karnataka, IN**. This critical role will be responsible for optimizing the entire supply chain process, ensuring efficient movement of goods, managing warehouse operations, and driving cost savings. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of logistics, inventory management, transportation, and supply chain planning. You will lead a team and implement innovative strategies to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive logistics and supply chain strategies to support business objectives. Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping. Manage and optimize inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing holding costs. Negotiate and manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), carriers, and vendors. Plan and execute transportation strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics and supply chain operations. Utilize supply chain management software and technology to track shipments, manage inventory, and analyze performance. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction throughout the supply chain. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and customs requirements. Lead, train, and mentor a team of logistics and warehouse personnel. Collaborate with procurement, sales, and operations teams to ensure seamless end-to-end supply chain visibility. Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions in the supply chain. Manage budgets and control operational expenses related to logistics and warehousing. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 6-8 years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain management, or warehouse operations. Proven track record in optimizing supply chain processes and reducing costs. Strong understanding of inventory management principles, WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), and TMS (Transportation Management Systems). Experience with e-commerce fulfillment operations is highly desirable. Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and relationship-building skills. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making. Strong leadership and team management capabilities. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus. Proficiency in relevant logistics software and MS Office Suite.
