Job Description
This role is responsible for managing large fleets and overseeing end-to-end logistics operations.
• Fleet Management:
Manage company-owned and outsourced vehicles, ensuring timely dispatch, availability, and optimal load planning.
Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance programs for vehicles to maximize monthly trips/vehicle,
Monitor GPS/fleet tracking to ensure vehicle safety, route adherence, and efficient turnaround times.
• End-to-End Logistics Execution:
Dispatch finished goods from manufacturing plants to ports/customs points,
Coordinate reverse logistics for return shipments rejected materials containers
Ensure documentation accuracy customs export port handling avoiding penalties delays
• OTIF & Service Delivery
D drive On Time in Full OTIF deliveries as per customer export commitments define enforce Service Level Agreements SLAs with transporters partners continuously monitor delivery performance against set benchmarks
• Compliance & Safety ): Maintain compliance RTO port hazardous material transportation norms specific bromine chemicals adhere company's safety quality sustainability policies conduct periodic audits fleet documentation driver certifications • Cost Efficiency Management: O optimize transportation costs through route planning consolidation load optimization support commercial freight rates contracts transporters port service providers reduce demurrage detention port charges proactive coordination
