Position: Senior Magento Developer
Company: Gabriel & Co.
Work Location: Chennai, India
Function/Department: IT Software - Application Programming, Maintenance.
Objective: He/ She plays key role in design, build, configure, implement a large-scale E Commerce Platform and is responsible for ensuring that the platform is reliable, scalable, and user-friendly.
Key Responsibilities:
• Good in PHP programming, MySQL and should have experience in implementing with Magento commerce platform for large scale ecommerce application.
• Strong understanding in design specs, PHP to a high standard and scalable way
• Should have experience in supporting Magento B2C and B2B applications.
• Strong in Magento expertise in DB schema, theming Layouts, Menu, extensions, cart, checkout, order Management, promotion, pricing, and search modules
• Design and develop custom modules and extensions for Magento
• Work on projects related to Magento Commerce Cloud and Magento Open Source
• Develop and maintain integrations with third-party systems such as payment gateways, shipping carriers, and ERPs
• Optimize website performance through code optimization, caching techniques, and other methods(Google page speed score, GTMetrix, etc..)
• Troubleshoot and debug issues with the Magento platform
• Work closely with designers to ensure that the website is user-friendly and visually appealing
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure that deadlines are met and projects are completed on time
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in e-commerce and web development
Experience and Skills required:
• JavaScript, JQuery, React, MySQL, CSS, HTML5, Bootstrap, PHP, MySQL, Web services
• Tools knowledge: Git, Jira, any IDE like Eclipse, PHPStorm
• Experience in Agile Methodology is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Magento Commerce Cloud and Magento Open Source
• Extensive experience with PHP and object-oriented programming
• Experience developing custom Magento modules and extensions
• Experience with integrations with third-party systems such as payment gateways, shipping carriers, and ERPs
• Experience with MySQL and other relational databases
• Strong understanding of web standards and protocols, including HTTP, SSL, and XML
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
