Responsibilities
In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing complex data and database projects, supporting initiatives that address some of healthcare’s most pressing challenges
Database Design & Management: Create and manage database architecture, integration, data modeling, and environments, including security and audit measures
Performance Optimization: Oversee database performance, capacity, and availability, including data recovery and DBMS software upgrades and patching
Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve performance issues and optimize SQL statements for efficiency
Strategic Consulting: Work with various client groups to provide strategic data/database solutions and offer insights on data analysis principles and trends
Data Transformation: Develop complex data transformation strategies for business intelligence or data migration and lead data mapping and model conversion projects
Documentation & Leadership: Maintain database support documentation, mentor less experienced staff, and collaborate with external consultants and DBA teams
Technical Problem-Solving: Address technical challenges across different technologies and develop customer-focused technology solutions
Availability: Ability to ensure 24⁄7 database availability and performance, including on-call responsibilities
